Is there anyway to tell if your one-piece D/S is messed up?
I bought a Shaftmasters D/S off a guy from another forum about a week ago and I just got it. Problem is that genius didn't pack the shaft worth a darn and I'm worried that it got hit in transit. It just came in a box that's the same size as the shaft. No peanuts, bubble wrap, newspaper, nothing. Just the shaft. It looks fine, but I remember reading that you aren't supposed to drop it or anything like that. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that UPS wasn't overly careful with it during shipping. So is there anything I can do to see if it may have some defects before install? Visually, it's solid. There aren't any scratches, scrapes, dents, gashes, etc. Just fingerprints. It also feels signifigantly lighter on one end than the other and almost hollow on the inside. Is that normal? Maybe the hollowness is what accounts for much of the weight loss? :headscratch: It makes me angry when people don't pack things properly!!!! :cursing:
